ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Iola, Kansas.
After graduating High School I attended Allen County Community College for two years and then moved to Manhattan, Kansas where I continued my education at Kansas State University. This is where I met my bride-to-be Cynthia.
I moved to Kansas City in 1979 and started working for Universal Construction Company, Inc. During my career at UCC, I worked at Menorah Medical Center as a field engineer for three years and attended field engineering classes at Finley Engineering College in the evenings and weekends.
I earned my Certified Construction Management Certification (CMCI ID#A0767) through the Construction Management Certification Institute in 2004.
My service to Universal includes seven years in the field followed by 11 years of cost estimating and Project Management. I have served as president since 1992.
I have served as director and past president of the Kansas City Chapter of the Associated Contractors of America (AGC), and Advisory Director of Health Mid-West. Currently, I am a trustee on the Greater Kansas City Laborers Pension Plan as well as a director on the Builders Association.
